Waffle House isn't that great. It's really cheap, but I've been to a ton of random diners that are much better for late night drunk food.

Nut low = winner, Denny's-lover. Why don't you go on back to Denny's, Denny's-lover? We don't cotton to your kind 'round here.

Default My first time at waffle house

I live in Southern California, an area that sadly lacks the yellow sign of deliciousness. In fact, until about 4 years ago I had never even heard of Waffle House.

Four summers ago, I went on a family road trip to AZ and NM. On the way back, I saw a yellow sign for a restaurant with 11 seperate letters rising into the sky like a beacon for hungry travellers. I love breakfast food at any time of the day and I was getting hungry. A place named 'Waffle House' sounded like a place I just haaaaaaaddd to see.

Unfortunately, my family wasn't hungry and we didn't take the offramp. I was a bit disappointed since I didn't know it was a chain restaurant -- I thought I would never see this restaurant again. I was still feeling a little bummed when we pulled into Phoenix to get a motel room... but lo' and behold, the motel was RIGHT NEXT door to a Waffle House!

During the next 12 hours, I visited WH 3 seperate times. Man... that was some of the greasiest, cheesiest and just plain awsomest food ever.

I miss you WH... the last 4 years have been very difficult for our relationship, but I know one day we will meet again.

I love waffle house

I try to eat healthy when I go there ( I know it's a sin)

I get the 2 eggs and chicken breast. Nothing cooked in butter. Dry wheat toast and tomatoes.

Im a waffle house nit. But you can eat pretty healthy there if you try.

Waffle house is the nuts. Chicken melt and triple hash browns smothered, covered, peppered and crispy with tabasco and ketchup. One of my favorite meals anywhere.

I seek out a Waffle House anytime I visit the South, and I'm never disappointed. OP speaks the truth.
