Thus far, I really like the idea of a money manager.

I LOVE that idea.

I don't think he needs a money manager to tell him to stop loaning money to degen scumbags and stop playing above his current liquid bankroll.

I agree the idea of giving anyone something that has a hidden agenda is a pretty bad idea. I mean, money manager? wtf? I agree with whoever said it was paternalistic. if he was fat would you give him weight watchers for a year?

I would write mark a handwritten note telling him that you are his friend and there for him if you need anything, and leave it at that. giving him any kind of money seems like a terrible idea to me, especially since he could have easily avoided most of it by WRITING IN AN EFFING BLOG EVERYDAY.

I fail to see how having sold weed makes him a bad person, I do not smoke or sell but I think its pretty much accepeted as a victimless crime.

What really needs to happen is the Mark needs to come to a realization that he wants to change his life himself. Until he does that, all you can do is try to cushion his way down, and make sure that he has a way back up. If you can find a life coach who plays poker/gambles it might not be a bad idea. I like that better than the money manager because he needs to learn to make better choices for himself. The point with the girlfriend is that as long as he chooses girls that want to be paid to be his girlfriend, he isn't going to get what he wants. I hope he turns it around.

Imagine how sick of a player Mark would be if he didn't tilt his way into the occasional bloodbath.

I think Mark is smart enough to see that his tilting is a major leak and the man behind tiltless.com might be the person to help him get rid of that leak.
