The second half of your post makes you look like a douche.

Wow.

Pretty much a unanimous decision. Someone alert the mods.

If you can't see how badly you acted- no one can help you dude.

Would you have acted differently if it was your sister across the table?

Good luck in life my friend.

The river card was dealt and I'm first to act, but my opponent acted out of turn and pushed her remaining (what looked like $75) chips out. I informed her I hadn't checked yet and she pulled her chips back.

Everyone is calling you a douche, so let me be the first to call you a dolt. The +EV way to handle this is to NOT inform your opponent that you hadn't bet yet, but to rather ask how much the bet is, and clarify if she is all-in. Then, if you think you are ahead, call or raise enough to put her all in. If not, then go from there -- either backing up the action & betting, or just fold, depending on if you think you can get her to fold a better hand.

I have to ask...

you created an account called "fartman", and waited 4 months for your first post, only to have it be a quote? Damn.

Here's the thing, you got all pissy because you didnt check yet, then you check. Then, the dealer tells you how much she has, and its right on. (cant you see approx. how much?)
The dealer is not obliged to tell you how much she has until a bet is made. Really, everyone at the table hated you and couldnt wait to get your chips.
