[censored], of course its not available in the US. Who the hell has ESPNU?

[/ QUOTE ]

i do. the usa korea game was rad.

[/ QUOTE ]good for you. This is part of the reason a large majority of people in the US don't care about soccer. These games are never on the main ESPN stations. I know if FSC had the rights they would put them on, but of course ESPN has the rights so they dump it somewhere no one can find.

[censored] you ESPN, they aren't even promoting MLS.

If they had even a half hour daily soccer show, I guarantee it would be popular.

Im surprised the image you guys have about our team, I admit chileans dont have a history of fair play, but this particular team plays fair IMO.

todays game is on Galavision

US 1 Poland 1 through the first 13.

Freddy Adu looks a lot better so far today than he did against Korea.

Yesterday I watched Portugal pummel New Zealand. NZ was fun to watch - they played hard and didn't whine and go through the usual theatrics. It was refreshing. Portugal is typical Portugal: Brilliant footwork...brilliant footwork...brilliant footwork...finish misses the net by 8 yards. A team with 4 defenders and 6 wingers is fun to watch but ultimately ineffective.

[/ QUOTE ]

Definitely a lopsided affair. Don't forget that it's not easy to score when there's 6 defenders in the box at all times. This caused New Zealand to rarely push forward which ended up in a boring match. Bruno Gama and Pele are class. It all pretty much comes down to New Zealand being outclassed.

Giovanni dos Santos (perhaps the best player in the tournament).

Barcelona youngster too.

The thing is when you come from a sports culture of hockey in Canada/football in the US, seeing guys rolling around in agony-->carried off in stretchers-->back on the field in 2mins just really rubs us the wrong way.

This is a massive result for the US. GD could be a factor and they now have a +3. Hopefully the can get one more then a result against Brazil to move on. I would like to see them win the group though. Tough, tough group.
