Katja Thater -- Who the hell is she and why is she so nonplussed?

Pardon me, but did you just non-sarcastically use the terms "badass" and "poker player" in the same sentence and expect to be taken seriously?

I gotta wonder here, if a MAN had won this event, and reacted the same way during the winners interview, if you guys would be going on and on and ON about it like you all are doing now with Katja winning this event (and her later reaction to it in the interview), not to mention all the 'she's hot' comments that I never see you guys saing about male players (insert wicked grin here, I couldn't resist that one guys).

Seems to me that just because she's a woman you guys all think she should be all emotional and such about her win.

Point is, I've seen a lot of guys act not affected at all by their win (aka not visably excited), yet I've seen nothing said about them.

Are you guys saying you'd cry, get emotional, and be all over the place in an interview if you won a poker tournament?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I think she's more used to playing with guys, and when you play in a women's only event, it requires a whole other aspect of poker, as most women in a WOE play weak/tight (which is the opposite I've found in a mixed event with mostly guys in the field).

After Vanessa got knocked out, she didn't have anyone to play back at her, and I think she got tired of everyone going fold, fold, fold.

Even Katja said though, she wasn't pleased with how she played that final table, in her interview afterwords.

You know,not one negative comment has been said about her through the whole thread yet you get this post.
It is just typical for a certain kind to find something to complain about.
Katja Thater reacted in that interview like she is someone who knows herself.Very classy lady.

Katja is an exceptional poker player(and exceptionally hot).
