Michigan gets a bad rap and isn't that bad. It's far behind the likes of Gary, Indiana, NJ, perhaps Balitmore, etc. I even remember that, perhaps West Bloomfield, MI is one of the safest in the country. There is another place up north that was rated as one of the safest, but hell nothing is up there but deer!

I prefer a few statistics rather than NRA propaganda.

Murders per million people per annum:

43 United States
15 Canada
14 United Kingdom
5 Japan

[/ QUOTE ]

And 42 out of each of those 43 murders are by gangabangers on other gangbangers who didn't pass a background check, they just bought the Glock from Jamaal's trunk, stolen of course from a ratty pawn shop.

If you outlaw guns, only the outlaws will have guns.
An armed society is a polite society.
Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun.

These statements are true, and those who dispute them can only be categorized as hoplophobes.

MN passed their "shall issue" permit to carry a pistol 3-4 years ago now, and there have been ZERO violent crimes commited by permit holders.

In fact, I seem to remember that there are more crimes committed by police officers in the US than by ordinary citizens who have a permit to carry a pistol.

Most dangerous cities? Compton? Oakland? Atlanta? Safest ones in North Dakota and Idaho? Yeah... I notice a trend here. Disclaimer: I'm not racist.

[/ QUOTE ]

And you know something else? Other than Vegas, almost all of those high murder rate cities have VERY strict gun laws, some of them banning handguns alltogether:
Chicago
D.C.
Maryland
New Jersey
California
N.Y.
etc.

Best places to be a gun owner?(i.e. very lax gun laws)?
Dakotas, Idaho, Montana, Vermont, Alaska, Wyoming

Are we sensing a pattern here?

Being canadian I am more concerned by being attacked by an american then worrying about a one in a billion terrorist attack. Of course your president will bail out the families of the said terrorists living on american soil.
Very sad fact of life..

wtf??!!

It my fault, if there is one thing a Hillbilly can't resist it is sneaking up behind a Canadian, and pushing the top half of his head off his while he is talking about farts. You guys might not believe this but Canadian's heads really do seperate when they talk just like on South Park and if you sneak up behnd them, you can push the top half right off on the floor.

Even though this seems to upset them at the time, they still return because they can save a lot of money on cigarettes and liquor.

Also, as mentioned earlier, St. Louis and Washington D.C. are not states. At least I'm pretty sure they aren't anyway.

I believe the people driving around in St Louis are in a state of confusion.

I get it. You're one of those fools who thinks all the guns will disappear the moment a law is passed making them illegal.
