Batman Begins is not a sequel. You were wrong if you thought the sequels were better than: Rocky, Spiderman, Terminator, Breakin'.

Fair enough -- I'm talking out of my ass on all the Rocky movies, I haven't watched them all enough to appreciate them all and decide which is best.

As for Aliens vs. Alien... that's terrible. People, you're clearly mixing up what you enjoyed more with what was actually a better film. Alien is still one of the best sci-fi horror flicks out there, even against what is produced today, and it's just so much of a better movie than Aliens. I liked Aliens a lot, but you're blind if you really think it's a higher quality film (i.e. better setting, acting, plot, etc.) than the first.

I also can't figure out why people like either TROTK or Two Towers over Fellowship. Fellowship was a great movie, well acted, near perfectly shot and edited. the sequels didn't make sense unless you knew the story, so you understood what was happening only because it was crapping on the story.

ROTK won best picture in a recognition oscar, for making the trilogy altogether, and for the injustice of Fellowship losing to A Beautiful Mind.
