Thanks [/ QUOTE ] I don't know how it is in the US, but usually you need proof of residency to open a bank account in a country for obvious reasons.

HSBC UK will let me open an offshore account in US, but it's something that needs at least 6 weeks advance notice here. I also left it too late for opening a US account. I rang my bank today and they said a wire takes 6 working days from uk to usa.... oh dear [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] guess im gonna have to borrow monies for a week. fisheye u really need to go to your bank and ask all these questions instead of depending on ppl here, it's unlikely you'll get accurate info here about how your bank does things. you better hurry too! when are u planning to get there? i used to play sc so it'll be cool if i get to meet u at some point [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

When you get a wire transfer from stars or ftp,is the transfer going to state pokerstars or a bank poker stars goes threw as the transfering merchant.
