Crazy Cabbie -- Nice, Nice guy - but fits the description of "Best Foxwoods Character" perfectly

[/ QUOTE ]

Definitely Cabbie Dave.

He is not a nice guy, however.

He's one of the things I miss most about the East Coast, though.

My friend and I call him Crazy Dave. I heard that he's a New York City cab driver and played 10/20 mostly when I was a FW regular a few years back. He always would run over to tell us bad beat stories in the middle of his session.

The guy didn't even know my name but did this last year. I had just had a final table finish in one of the big tourneys at FW so he probably perceived me as a good tourney player. so I was in LV and ran into crazy Dave at the Bellagio. He knew that I had just qualified for the NE Poker classic through a satellite and I guess he had also but I'm not sure how as he was/is one of the worst tourney players I've ever seen. I'd be amazed if he ever cashed in a tourney. I know I've never seen him beyond the first break.

So now, mind you, crazy Dave doesn't even know my name but for 3 straight days he keeps bugging me to swap percentages for the tourney. I kept being polite about it but it was pretty hilarious that I would ever swap percentages with this character.

How about this guy my friend and I used to call the snapper? He played 10/20 and 15/30 HE and always had a big ten gallon hat. When he would bet or raise he would snap his fingers and point after throwing his chips in.

It was the stupidest thing you ever saw.

I just found this string, and I'm amazed that one name has not yet been mentioned......

Beyond a shadow of a doubt 'Hollis' has got to be ranked at the top of this list.....

He's the whole package.....Funny, witty, aggravating as hell when he's been drinking, comes up with some great one-liners.

He has the amazing ability to put a whole table on tilt if they don't know what his game is.

I busted him four times at the same super table one night.....He just kept re-buying and ended up getting a seat!

Haven't seen him in a couple months, but Ralphie the Coughing Man gets my nomination in this thread. I've sat with him at the 10 and 20 games. He has a tubercular cough, spits into a hankie, and always ends his coughs with a drawn out "aaahhhhhhuuurrrmmmmarahhhh......" If he's stuck a couple racks at the 10 game, he gets on the list for the 20. He's a good guy to follow around.

WOW! i was walking around with Fabio one night, probably around 2 am or so(why hasnt fab been nominated?) Anyways, Fabio introduces the guy to me and all of a sudden the guy starts going off on me about how i look like a [censored](i like to dress nice) and about how he has had more tourney wins and money wins then ill ever have. All i could think to say to him was that it was 2k5 and that he isnt [censored] now and it's JCmoussa's time. He then offered to [censored] me.

Ralphie's a real nice guy - some of the guys who regularly play the 10 and 20 games are idiots and have no clue as to how to properly maintain the fun at a table. Ralphie is quite fun, even if he isn't the best player in the room by a mile and a half.

Didn't mean to disparage him personally. He is a pleasant guy to have at the table. The first time I sat with him I was grossed out by the coughing and spitting, but you get used to it. I try to be nice to the guy. He's actually pretty quiet when he's not coughing.

Guy named KGB plays 2-5NL. He is a millionaire and calls with just about anything pre-flop. Called my raise to 25 with my AJs, when he was SB with something like 36o. Flop came 33J... busted.

He usually buys in about 3-4 times before either building a decent stack or leaving in disgust.

He is a nice older guy and fun to play with. Smiles a lot and although he makes variance a little higher - he donates quite a bit... Must be nice...
