I'm sure it does but you can't play hot and cold with a hand that has no showdown value. If you don't flop a pair or draw you are going to have a rough time of it OOP against an aggressive opponent.

3-betting in no way guarantees that the BB will fold. If he has a brain then he knows it's a steal/resteal. If he's an idiot then he may call for his own reasons.
