No worries. You're helping to keep it moving, not initiating.

The problem with checking on the flop is that I couldn't be sure that BTN would bet it for me (check the stats). If he were more aggressive, then Miles's line would be exactly what I would go for (check, raise if 3-handed, call and see if HU), but a bet on the flop gives me what I need to know (if BTN raises, he's on an overpair, calls he's on OCs and I've likely got him reverse-dominated), and MP1 will call along because he's a donk.

Once BTN just called the flop, it was a ticket to ValueTown unless a K or Q turned, so we'll fast-forward to the river:

MP1 checks, Hero ?

Bet. Hopefully btn will raise with his AQ-AK. He will certainly check behind any TT-KK but probably give a crying call with QQ-KK if you bet. You must bet. If MP 3bets you need to consider the likelihood that MP holds A7 or K7 waiting for the two guys behind him to throw money into the pot.

are you kidding Som?

easy bet. we've been leading the hand the whole time, let's not break tempo here. Bet/3bet (if button raises; if MP1 raises here, simply call as he could have been slowplaying a 7) the river. C/R here is awful because it allows Button to check behind and robs us of a call, 3bet because button's possible AK/AQ is no goot.

all my bases covered?

I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] a river c/r. We're more likely to get 1-2 BB from MP this way, and unless button has the weakest JJ evar, he's almost certainly going to give us two bets. I don't think he'll raise AK often enough, though

So we think button's holdings are weakly played TT-AA all of which we beat except AA, or, more likely AQ-AK, all of which he will now bet even with his low AF, either b/c he improved or b/c he now thinks his overpair is good? I'd be too afraid of letting this get checked through so I think I would bet.
