Re: Entourage 4/22

Drama and Ari both should just have their own shows. [/ QUOTE ] I think the Ari character could definitely carry his own show. They could even have Larry Sanders' Stevie Grant join Larry's firm. |

This show is getting more and more terrible. Sometimes I feel uncomfortable because the acting is so bad. It seems like it is just written for other Hollywood people so they can sit there and nudge eachother and go hee hee that happened to me. [/ QUOTE ] This was a good episode. I'm not sure what more you could ask for. The Ari stuff was awesome. |

Re: Entourage 4/22
The Ari stuff is the only good stuff. I'll admit I watch it as a guilty pleasure, and maybe "terrible" was an overstatement, but I'm still disapointed so far this season.
When the seasons are so short and have such long breaks in between, a 22 minute episode is just not enough. They need to be more like Curb Your Enthusiasm, when HBO told Larry David the episodes had to be less that 30 minutes, he made them exactly 29 minutes and 59 seconds. |

Re: Entourage 4/22
So you don't like the show, but 22 minutes is not enough?

Re: Entourage 4/22
A lot of people have been calling Entourage a "guilty pleasure" lately. I don't think it fits the definition, because it definitely is (or at least was) a legitimately great show. For those who think it's gotten bad and is therefore a "guilty pleasure", did you call Sopranos a guilty pleasure if and when you considered it bad (the first half of season 6 for example)?
I don't think the acting is bad. Ari and Drama are Best Supporting Actor worthy. Turtle is Turtle, he's intented to be a lame character and the actor plays it fine. I don't see the problem with E. As for Vince - it doesn't matter. A good comparison would be Seinfeld in Seinfeld. He wasn't a good actor, but it didn't matter. The greatness came from the supporting cast, with Jerry occasionally having his moments. He was the centerpiece of the show but he wasn't the reason the show was great. The last few episodes of the first half of this season with Martin Landau were excellent, so I also don't agree that there's been an absolute decline. Yes, overall seasons 1 and 2 were better, but it was the same deal with Sopranos. |

Re: Entourage 4/22
i have been re-watching the first half of s3 recently (which i initially thought sucked pretty bad). i am enjoying them a lot, they are waaaaaaay better than the recent ones.
having said that, i will never stop watching the show, cos its 22mins long and will always raise a few laughs. carla looked absolutely stunning on the last ep. |
