The guy is phenomenal at weighting estimated hand ranges of opponents against the board textures and consequently he takes down a lot of pots when both people have nothing, and he also makes a lot of very good call downs (which also sometimes look stupid). I think that is where the mathematics of his game comes from. IMO he's one of the best.

this is a pretty great explanation, and pretty much all we needed to hear.

WTSD also includes hands where you bet and someone folds right? So is he just less aggro and gets c/r'd less or checks behind more?

[/ QUOTE ]

My understanding of WTSD is that it does not include those times where we bet and our opponents all fold. If I bet every flop and my opponents always folded my WTSD = 0%.

Yup, he's definitely part of this group.

There are lots of reasons he wins, but I think one of the big reasons is that he plays so well with initiative, and takes it so often preflop.

It's a wonder how much players online suck without initiative.

Also he's on a heater.

I've played lots with him but dont have PT with me right now. I think he is/was a loser in the bigger FTP games?

After watching many HU-sessions I assume he would have problems playing the "elite" of FL specialists like TLK, Erik and Pokkermon.

If you can come up w/ a style to play that's unexploitable in these spots on the fly, that would be as good as "solved" to me. I don't know if this is possible, I certainly wouldn't know where to start.

[/ QUOTE ]
Sounds like his strategy is to raise a lot and then never fold. Solved?!

yup haha

He beat TLK for 200 bets on UB playing 300-600 in a single session.
