Somebody screwed up by having that portion of the track so close to the barrier. I'd want a lot more space between a tight corner and the concrete if I let an actor drive my Ferrari.

I don't know, seems like it'd be a hella expensive marketing ploy. Will it really generate $1+ mil worth of additional revenue at the box office?

As soon as I heard there was a movie involved I became suspicious. The TMZ video just heightens that suspicion.

And in another week when it is admitted that it was all just a prank to generate publicity, think of the additional publicity that will occur and all the additional stories talking about the new type of guerrilla marketing using "prank to generate publicity for movie".

Pretty solid marketing for the price of a few television ads.

TMZ isn't saying it's a marketing ploy. They're saying the accident never happened. But aren't there a bunch of witnesses, photos, etc., that saw the actual wrecked car?

Here's another Ferrari crash:

Is there no way the car could be repaired? Didn't look THAT messed up. New bonnet, what else?

[/ QUOTE ]

who would want a 1.5M car with a wrecked title?
