if you picture the 50 30 20 split as a split of 50 million dollars then the question becomes more interesting... you still have to call i would think but you might not want to...

4th place gets zero, mind you...

what are your thoughts on the independent chip modeling that is often used to help determine the best course of action in tournament, especially Single-table tournament, situations?

KK is a trivially easy call.
Against a good regular I would probably call something like
A9s+ KJs+ KQ+ 77+, but that's just off the top of my head.
