Pete,

Not sure exactly what the 2 sets of #s up there are, as in - do they account for the fact that some of your money went into the pot? So while you should have won $68k, you only net a much smaller amount. No? Not sure what your total won number reflects.

[/ QUOTE ]

this only tells me how much i should have won (gross) from my all in pots mathematically. it gives me a very accurate calculation fori'm running after the money has gone in, and since this is the cause of most of my variance, i can figure out if my win/loss rate much faster.

to get a net you'd have to subtract the money i put in, but that's not a very useful number because it doesn't account for the times i pushed all my chips in and didn't get called.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah i meant how much you netted in your all in pots. In other words - according to PT you "won" $X, which is a net figure. I was wondering if this was a "net" figure but it seems you thought about this for long enough to realize this.

That sucks. GL in the future.

i'm still perfectly willing to take you up on that bet. i just want 100 to 1 on what you think is a 1999 to 1 shot. put your money where your mouth is, hotshot.

it's all calculated correctly. the code i pasted was wrong because i deleted [censored] in an effort to make it slightly more readable and [censored] up. but you don't have the slightest clue.

if you think this stuff is difficult to calculate/simulate, you don't understand math.

pete, of course it is easy to calculate and simulate. i was saying your code was wrong and therefore your results were wrong. sorry i did not take the time to run it all myself and then assume you had mistyped it/edited it out and that your results posted were not from your code. im stupid you're smart sorry!

lol. you obviously weren't saying that, and that's obvious to anyone with a decent understanding of math and programming.

the code, as originally posted, wouldn't generate results that wouldn't make any sense at all, and it would be obvious that the code is incorrect when it's run.

you didn't even look at the code. if you had been saying that my code was wrong, you would have pointed out the mistake. and it would have been obvious to you that the code i posted was not the code i ran.

it's ridiculously obvious to anyone with a clue that you're just trying to cover up the fact that you have no idea what you're talking about.
