if you are not going to INSTA-CALL a river CR shove your bet is terrible. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with this, before you make the bet you should already have a plan. |

Re: 100/200 River C/R Hand of the Month (vs. Brad Booth)
im v. impressed w/ brad here. we played over 1000 hands HU over the past week at 200/400 and i dont think i ever saw him c/r the river, and if so maybe once (definately not in a spot like this). I think based on that assessment i'd give him credit for a flush. he hasnt been out of line on rivers in that spot and is capable of playing a flush like that. i value bet T9 there 10000000% of the time v. booth so people saying you need to insta call c/r b/c your inducing a bluff is 100% wrong. he will call with worse if he has it 100%. any lower 9 or PP below 9 and most lower pairs call imo. I (im assuming like jman) value bet v. thin vs. him so i know he would call. this hand is interesting though b/c he knows that your typical strongest holding is a thin value bet somewhere near AT at best. he could have missed hearts and try to push you off a hand so i think you need to call here sometimes. however the first time i've ever seen it vs. him i thikn i'd give him credit. i say call if he gets out of line or like ansky said if he is playing tilty maybe i reckon a call. otherwise fold normally call maybe >30%. sick spot though and i like your reasonsing jman. gl
