Lets not forget Mutt Lange. Tons of great albums.

Can't wait to hear what Rubin does with U2's new album.

Diablo,

The latest issue of GQ (Christian Bale is on the cover) has a pretty awesome article about Timbaland. Not that I read GQ or anything.

Everyone,

Jury selection for Spector's trial took place today! Opening statements are scheduled to be heard on the 30th! I actually might try to go see them in person.

Lets not forget Mutt Lange. Tons of great albums, but more importantly, was sticking it to Shania Twain in her absolute hotness peak.

Can't wait to hear what Rubin does with U2's new album.

Rick Rubin.

Indeed... I'd also like to hear more about Billy Sherrill, even though that lush, opulent country sound seems wrong now with artists like George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Charlie Rich.. the guy knew how to make a song a standard.

Yeah, sorry, as I said in the OP Spector is probably the only producer I can write about in this series.

Let's encourage others to do the threads on Rick Rubin and Steve Albini and the rest... any takers?

UPDATE: WOW!

For those of you who were considering getting into Spector, Deep Discount DVD is selling his box set Back To Mono for what looks to be 15 friggin bucks. How annoying, since I spent $50 on it about 10 years ago.

Anyway it's got 63 tracks of his singles plus that one Christmas CD he did which is pretty cool. Also the book inside has some great photos and all the lyrics too. I highly, highly recommend it -- especially for that cheap. I wonder if Allen Klein is trying to raise money for Spector's murder defense. Haha.
