Ummmm...no, unless things are done much differently in the US than up here in the Great White North. I find it depends on the courier company, the package, and the driver. I get PLENTY of packages left at my house for me by Fedex or UPS without signing. Of course, if the shipper specifies "signature required", that's different. If I'm going to be out, and want something left, I usually put a note up to make sure they leave it for me.

Just to ease people's minds I received my Bodog check of 20k via Fed-Ex. My check was processed on 1/26/07 arrived to me on 2/12/07. Thye gave me the tracking # on 2/8/07 and everything went smoothly from there. I heart Bodog.

I got my check for 20k but now its on hold by the bank (Bank of America) while they wait for it to clear. Apparently they have to wait a couple of days and see if the accountholder of Bank of Montreal that wrote the check has the funds in their account. Then they said some banks dont even give out this info over the phone so I might have to wait a week or more to see my money! Im kinda miffed.

About how long would it take for this check to clear generally? Do you know if Bank of Montreal gives out that info over the phone to another bank?

Heads up - I got a call from Bodog regarding a payout on 2/2. Looks like everyone on that day accidentally got their checks mailed out instead of Fedexed, so it's on its way but may take a bit longer/no tracking #'s. Meh.

got the same call. at least they gave me a headsup. i dont mind waiting an extra week, and the dude was friendly and helpful. thought it was nice of them to call...

I've been waiting since 1/25 for my snail mail check. Is that normal? Bodog support said up to 20 days. I believe it's been 20 days now.
