it was definitely right up there. as he was entering the apt (after the door opened i lunged for the knife and then i backed away since i didnt know if he had a gun or whatever) i figured there was about a 90% chance that i was going to stab the [censored] in the neck, my main worry was that the knife wouldnt hold (it was a cheap walmart-type knife you might cut a head of lettuce in half with) once it was in his neck - i didnt really want to have to get into a scuffle besides me plunging the knife in his neck.
once he was inside and i could see that he didnt have a weapon (or, at least, he wasnt pulling one out), i pretty much felt like i had things under control after about 30 seconds.
so, yea, i guess the scariest thing out the night was reaching to lock that sliding glass door and having it open from the outside.
