Does anyone know if it is 18+ or 21+ ? I was told that Wisconsin changed the gambling age, but most casinos haven't changed their minimum age. For example Lake of the Torches has been 18+ for a while now.

Wisco is 21. Everywhere.

no Lake of the Torches in Lac Du Flambeau is 18 plus in the whole casino, including their poker room (if you can call it a room...).

When I was there in late January they said that they were turning one of those side rooms filled with slots into a poker room.

Where is Lac Du Flambeau?

""When I was there in late January they said that they were turning one of those side rooms filled with slots into a poker room.""

That is what I heard as well.. I think they were going to add a couple tables once they move in there. so they'll have 4-5 then wooo! I'm not sure on the total amount of tables they plan on having though..

""Where is Lac Du Flambeau?""

It is right next to Minocqua (my hometown) which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Wausau, or about 3 hours north of Madison up Hwy 51.

The NL there is pretty soft. They only spread it friday nights, saturday, and sunday though. there is a group of about 4-5 regulars that I've seen play there every time i've been there (about 4-5 times), but they aren't that good...

I think the idea is to just have one post on a particular subject for people to respond to rather than have 5 diffrent posts out there to weed thru. (that most of the people on the forum probally dont care about)

Seems to have worked, there only seems to be this one running Ho Chunk post and there is only one running Potawanomi post.

how was the wait? With only 1 table each of 5/10 and 10/20 seems like it could be a little bad.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was there a couple weekends ago, and they only had one 5/10 going. There were more than 10 people on the list. I called in 2 hours before I got there, and had to wait until 2 hours after I got there before they finally decided to open another table. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

They had 4-5 2/4 tables going, 1 10/20, and either a stud or omaha table going at the time too. Why they only had one 5/10 was beyond me. Everyone was pissed.

New chips are being brought out at this moment, which will do away with timed rake for limit games. The new chips are reportedly pastel clay composites, but I haven't laid eyes on them myself.

NL and PL games will still be raked $5 / half hour. There's also talk that they're going to do away with 5/10 limit in favor of 4/8, but who knows when that will happen. The semi-regular 10/20 limit will continue as normal.

I'm probably going to end up going this Saturday, can anyone tell me specific details on the NL game? I'm curious as to if they have a 1/2 and what the max buyin is for it. I probably don't have the roll to sit at anything higher.

First of all, no more 5/10 Limit - went last week, and they changed that game to a 6/12 Limit game. So, they run 2/4 and 6/12 every day.

As for the NL game - they ONLY run an NL game on Sundays - it's 2/5 with a 200 min and 500 max.

PL HE on Monday nights, with a 1000 max.

But no daily NL.

If you want 1/2 NL, you'll have to hit Turtle Lake.
