PokerBob,

Something that seems to be overlooked here. If you retaliate, even in a clever and funny way, what will be the long term implications for your friend? Do you care? Does your friend care?

[/ QUOTE ]

good point. my friend's house will be on the market in the next month or so, so there are not really long-term implications, as my friend will likely be out of that neighborhood in about 6 months.

continuation of this post.

So, last night we got back at about 2am, and of decided to park in the same spot. I put the original note back under the wipers, so that Mr. nit would not need to write a 2nd note. I got out to my car at 7:45am to find the following note:

This is the second and final request for having this car parked in front of house being visited. For 2 reasons:
1. Difficulty for garbage and recycling bins to be picked up!
2. Difficulty for newspaper delivery!

Also, note posting that cars are not to be parked on street and could be towed at owner's expense!

My play?

NOTE: I have never seen posting regarding cars parked on the street, but that does not mean such a rule does not exist.

If you want to push the note sender's buttons, make SURE to park there.

I'd check on township regs to see if that is a no-parking street, but it sounds like BS

If you weren't allow to park on the street, there would have to be no parking signs.

I've lived in the city my whole life (read: parallel parking) and am amazed at how people with garages and driveways get so pissed when people park in front of their house.

Side Note: Some developments or "communities" (usually richer ones) have rules about parking on the street, but they still couldn't get your car towed.

We get it. You're a douchebag and proud of it. Just set a bag of dog [censored] on fire on his porch and be done with it.

Have fun when he has your car towed to cracktown and abandoned.

i would just park elsewhere for fear of having my car towed, as it is has been towed a ton in the past for numerous reasons and it always pisses me off.

snaggle,

2, 4, and 5 seem like pretty obvious choices here.
