Re: Nashville - Any Suggestions?
[ QUOTE ]
I agree with everything except the Opryland Hotel - it's a giant hotel with shops and restaurants in the lobby. I didn't think it was worth the 20 minute drive from downtown Nashville to see it. [/ QUOTE ] Very easy to get lost in there, even sober. The Opry Mills mall is pretty cool too. There's some NASCAR simulator that's fun to driver. Decent places to eat. But as others have said Second Ave has about everything you need. It's also less than a half a mile from the stadium. |

Re: Nashville - Any Suggestions?
PM me if something goes down. I can be in Nashville pretty easily, and have been telling all my friends up there that I will visit again soon.

Re: Nashville - Any Suggestions?
I should have written this a while ago, but thanks to everyone who offered up tips. A quick recap:
Tin Roof and Demonbreun A plus!! - I knew it was a good place for us when the Captain Morgan statue greeted us at Tin Roof. Great atmosphere and fun live band. And overall, Demonbreun was fun...we did a little pub crawl from Dan McGuiness's down to Tin Roof. Good times. Blackstone Brewery and Grill - Great food, great beer, good prices. Best suggestion to tourists - Yes, visit 2nd Ave, but be willing to go elsewhere (like the West End) for dinner, then back to Downtown for partying. It's less than a $10 cab ride, the restaurant selections are more varied, and the waits are much shorter. We tried to get a table downtown after the Bowl Game and everything was hour or more wait. We went to West End and waited less than 10 minutes at Blackstone. 2nd best suggestion for tourists - Don't stay at Days Inn Stadium. We thought it would save us some cash and get us close to the stadium. Turns out it's in a sketchy neighborhood and all the locals told us not to walk anywhere from the hotel. Stay Downtown or West End...it's worth the extra few bucks...you'll probably save that money in the cabs you're forced to take to get downtown. Lastly, the 6-foot rule sucks. Wish I had heeded the advice and stayed away. The ladies walking around weren't really into it and the private dance was a total waste of cash. Thanks again everyone! |

The X-Factor,
The other weekend a cabbie (Allied) told me that cab fare to Ken's and maybe some others was free. Haven't tried it out yet, but I've got his card! |

My beer-soaked memory of that night wants to say it was the Crazy Horse. [/ QUOTE ] I havent been there but I havent heard of them doing the X amount of feet away rule. When I go, which is a rare occasion, I go to DeJa Vu. Its not quite full service but they will grind on you ect. |
