[ QUOTE ]
summary details plz. [/ QUOTE ] live poker. the end. eh, i don't know, i don't really feel like i've ever been burned, because if ever i loan someone money - especially if it's gambling related - i have no serious expectations regarding repayment - but yeah i have a lot out there. no huge ones - put some dude in a tourney for a few grand that was - as far as i was concerned a loan - not a stake. haven't seen him since. then there are random dudes who i've gotten to know, who have serious gambling problems (more serious than even mine!) and because i both feel for them and relate to them, i am apt to hook them up. these are the type of guys who are not angling or manipulating to get the money, they are just straight up about it in a brutally sad and honest way. then there's just the bs times that i'm flush and people need money and i feel happy i can help them. similar to when i see some homeless dude, who may approach me in the right way, or at the right time, and he's hurting, and i have money in my pocket, and i know he's going to buy a rock with whatever i give him, but i don't care because if i can help this guy forget about his awful life for 20 minutes, then i will. it is what it is. |
