Re: How to play 2/4 Limit in a Casino?
First time live for me was at the Aladdin than the South Coast Casino in Northern Las Vegas. I played a couple of months ago in Foxwoods and it was a dream come true. People calling with anything. I had quads and this old lady had A6. She reraised me with A6. YES!!! Hey where's that guy who posted that he wanted to make a living playing 2/4? If he moves to CT in a ditch near Foxwoods he maybe able to live in a halfway house with some good cash in his pockets.

Yep. Nitty. Also, it (South Coast) was losing so much money (Red Rock is winning the battle for locals.) that Boyd Gaming sold it back to the original developer. Hence the name change to South Point. Nice place. For donk it up local poker, it had both an early morning NL tourney, and played 2/4 LHE with a 1/2 kill. My wife loved the slots there. Especially the one called "Hot Flashes" all about menopause. It was a laugh riot machine.

Re: How to play 2/4 Limit in a Casino?
Boyd81, I am feeling your exact pain. I play at the 2-4 level in some local card clubs around here. I am never able to play for more than about 1-2 hrs. so I don't really have any long run stats per se. I try and keep records of each session and jot down any mistakes that I make cause I do make some every session, be they big or small. They are usually small ones so that tells me that I am improving. So far I am a losing player(who will admit that eh) but not by that much really. I am down just over $120 for about 18 sessions anywhere from 1-2 hours in length(totally miniscule amount of time put in). The handshat I am showing down almost always win and the few pots that I do win each session are on the larger side so I know I am on track. I try and stick to my strategy each time I play and play very disciplined.

Re: How to play 2/4 Limit in a Casino?
Did you read SSH? Really good book and may help you. Dont want to brag, but in 2/4 live I'm up. Going to AC next weekend and will play 3/6(I know not that much of a difference), but the SSH book really helps and Im making the switch from internet to live. My last session at the Borg was weak. I didn't make out with as much money as I wanted and got very bored and went down a little but walked away up. I played for 6 hours too. Trying working on that hourly rate. I've been reading the Inside the Poker Mind too. That should help you out. 1-2 hours is not enough. Am sure if you hang in there and play some solid hands you'll start to bust those suckers.

A mantra works well at 2/4 tables...

Then tell it to the Wall Street Journal. That was my source. They said Boyd's lost $65 mil. in handing it back.
