Re: Hachem during WCOOP Event #2
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Ansky, how many people in the world do you think are better at MTTs (or NL cash if you think you're better at that) than you are? This isn't a flame or anything, just a musing. [/ QUOTE ] Jesus I don't know. A lot! The number is decreasing every day though, thats whats important. [/ QUOTE ] Damn that's a good answer. |

Re: Hachem during WCOOP Event #2
[ QUOTE ]
Even though he shouldn't behave in this manner I really think he feels the pressure of living up to his World Champion label in a small buy in tourney. Even though there is a ton of luck involved in MTTs I think he feels that since he's a Main Event Champion he should be able to navigate through all these donks and win this tournament. [/ QUOTE ] Right. Which makes him a little insecure or insane. Take your pick. Also, I don't expect Hachem to act in a more pleasant manner just because he's world champion, but because he's a professional poker player and should behave like one. I don't think anyone who makes his living in this game should be criticizing his opponents plays or complaining about luck. |

Re: Hachem during WCOOP Event #2
[ QUOTE ]
You also have to remember that some of the poor players will make the money. It's not hopeless for them. I played a $1k belagio tourney with a kid that the dealer had to explain his options to him when it was his turn to act the first few hands cause he honestly didnt know. Didnt know minimum bet sizes, folded his big blind several times in unraised pots. He got second in that tourniment. It happens [/ QUOTE ] Well said. I played a small tournament in AC not too long ago, and a guy like that won. The thing I realized is these are the same people who come to AC, play roulette or 3 card poker or many other games where you're basically giving up 5BB/100 (5% house edge). A $300 poker tournament is a lot more fun than that, and for the most part, they'll last longer/just as long as they would with $300 at a $15 craps table or whatever. We look at poker as a winnable game, most people look at it just like every other casino game. They expect to lose money, get excited when they win, and usually have fun either way. So why take the fun part away by being an ass? |

Re: Hachem during WCOOP Event #2
Should have raise the flop IMO...probably would have pushed out the 7s, if not there, on the turn.
