Re: Official New York Jets will break .250 Thread

Our pass rush did look alot better this week. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I'm really trying to find a reason to like Bryan Thomas and while active, I still think he should be making more plays. Dwayne Robertson is obviously not a good fit for the 3-4, but there's a reasonable chance that he's just not good. We need to bring in a Vince Wilfork type then grab a Seymour type guy , then add a Walter Payton type and we're good to go. Football is easy. |

Jets Schedule: 1 Sun, Sep 10 at Tennessee (I can see a win here...probable) 2 Sun, Sep 17 New England (Questionable at best) 3 Sun, Sep 24 at Buffalo (Buffalo sucks too but they are just a bit better than us...If J.P. Losman is starting we could win this one hehehe [/ QUOTE ] So far so good however after watching yesterdays game I'm officially going to change my Week 4 prediction from this: [ QUOTE ] Week 4 Sun, Oct 1 Indianapolis (No Chance In HELL) [/ QUOTE ] To this [ QUOTE ] Week 4 Sun, Oct 1 Indianapolis UPSET IN THE MAKING HOLLA [/ QUOTE ] FMP oh and can we pleasssssssssssssssssse get Leon Washington some more touches in this game. - JA |

Upset in the making? Umm, Peyton Manning is going to throw at David Barrett every time. They could put Tom Moore at WR. If Barrett covers him, he'll have 3-4 TDs easy.

Defense has still been downright awful, but at least they forced some key turnovers. I have a feeling next week is going to be disgusting |

Re: Official New York Jets will break .250 Thread
This thread needed to be bumped as the Jets are now guaranteed to be better than a .250 team this year.
Yesterday was an excellent showing all around. The defense figured out how to get at the Quarterback...finally! Pennington was classic Pennington. His quick kick punt was the best play of the game IMO. Time to cut Ben Grahahm. Hah. Our running game was solid throughout. Barlow looks like he is finally figuring things out. And the OL has just been getting better and better every week. This is a definite 8-8 team right now. 9-7 is a real possibility and given the schedule, 10-6 is not out of the question...but not likely. I'm a realist. What a difference a year makes. Actually what a difference a Head Coach and rebuilt OL makes. I'm excited once again about the Jets. I did not think I'd be saying that till 2008 when this season started. |

Re: Official New York Jets will break .250 Thread
Actually the biggest difference maker from last year to this year is not the head coach, not the OL, but just the fact that last year there were several major, devastating injuries to key players. That's not to say Mangini doesn't look promising as a head coach. He does look good.
