Please explain why. [/ QUOTE ] Giving the potential of infinite odds to any player in any size pot without a monster hand and not accompanying a read is never a good idea. I don't care if the pot is small or not. Him calling your bet incorrectly in a small pot which is what most small stakes players do is EXACTLY what we hope for and is so much more superior than allowing Villain to value bet you to death in that small pot. Tight/passive wins vs. someone who will always bet when checked or is overly aggro and/or will fold when bet into. Your aforementioned hand did not accompany such a read. -Caddy |

They understand that when someone checks here is it usually with the intention of folding. Which is exactly why the hero should be check/calling and check/raising the turn very often with apparent betting hands. |
