I hope Cole does he is a cancer on a team. He is like Manny Ramirez. Arsenal got to the champions league final without him playing last year anyway

Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool
Man U

Of course, this could change. I really see Wenger picking up Ribery and Baptista, and losing Reyes.

What a sick lineup that would be

Eboue Senderos Toure Cole

Ribery Baptista Rosicky Cesc

Henry RVP

The spreads have Arsenal points at 76 and Spurs points at 62. My sense is that this is accurate. 14 points seems a reasonable margin to expect between the two. I think people are underestimating how good of a year Spurs had last year.

The full table as predicted by the spreads is Chelsea 86.5, ManU 78, Arsenal 76, Liverpool 76. Spurs 62, btw. These all seem perfectly reasonable. Spurs would have to again have a great year and one of the big 4 would have to stink it up for them to bridge the gap.

Yes, Cole should go now. His exact price is much less important than the fact that he is a net negative for the team. And sign Ribery, please.

Also, the league has apparently asked that the convention of kicking the ball out for an injured player be stopped.

I never knew about that rule until this years WC. It seemed like a good rule, why get rid of it?

Ribery isn't going anywhere, he has stated that he doesn't want to leave OM now. His statement. He is also now cup tied to OM because of playing in the UEFA Cup prelim match for them. It also looks like Reyes may not move because aresenal are asking for 20mEuros+Baptista, so that won't likely happen either. In summary, you have added Rosicky and still haven't addressed your back four or added much depth to the midfield or strike situation too, plus Lehman is always an adventure in goal. Aresenal won't finish second

what sites do you guys use to follow the premiership?

The suggestions you got are pretty good for basic news. I'd also look at some of the main Uk newspaper sites for comment and analysis.

Guardian, Times, Independent and Daily Telegraph are the quality papers with well-insight. Sun and Daily Mirror have the scurrilous gossip. Various sites including the BBC have a daily round-up of transfer gossip.

And you should sign up for the Guardian's free irreverent daily football email, which is sent out at about 5pm UK time (noon ET/9am PT) every weekday. You can sign up here

It was never really an official rule but had been in practice in England for a while. It originated from a spirit of fair play but ultimately became abused with teams expecting their opponents to kick the ball out when a player is obviously faking injury or got cramp etc. It's a good thing that the referee now decides if the game stops IMO. Personally I think unless there's a head injury or broken bone they shouldn't stop the game, it would mean much more free flowing football.
