He was clearly pedestrian at best in 2001. IMO this is not even debatable and certainly not worth discussing with anybody who can't acknowledge such overwhelming evidence. [/ QUOTE ] Lets take a look at the FACTS and stop being biased because of our rooting interests: He was in his second year in the league and first as a starter. He inherited a team that was 5-11 the year before, 0-2 that year, and a 10 point home underdog in week 3. He took his team to win the Super Bowl. His defense was ranked 9th in the league. His WRs were Troy Brown and David Patten. No other WR had over 250 yards. His RB was Antowain Smith. Brady had a 1.5-1 TD-INT ratio. Brady completed 64% of his passes. In his first career playoff game in horrible snowy conditions, he threw for 300+ yards, led a game tying drive at the end of regulation, and led a game winning drive in OT. That is "clearly pedestrian" to you? |

[quote Peyton Manning has been a loser in both college and the pros.
[/ QUOTE ] 40-9 as a sarter in college, including 3-1 in Bowl games. The only time you could ever call him a loser when regarding his college career is if Florida is in the conversation. |

They were an average-ish for two years and the best team in football the last 3. Doesn't seem like strange logic to me.

I am glad Assani has taken up the fight. It has saved me a lot of typing. I'm really not sure where to put Brady on the all time list. One thing I do know is, Brady > Manning.

Lets take a look at the FACTS and stop being biased because of our rooting interests: [/ QUOTE ] OMG STFU. In the last year on this forum I have: - Defended the Pats against those who criticized their soft late season schedule last year, citing their brutal Sept/Oct slate. - Praised Bellicheck/Brady up the ass multiple times - Said they were the most underrated team in the NFL for this upcoming year. - Said they would've beaten Pittsburgh in the AFC title game last year. I just hate revisionist history re: 2001; sorry if that bothers you so much. And if you think I wanted Miami to win the division that year...wrong. |
