Is this really funny? I read genius and loved it. Also Breakfast of Champions - yes. And I've heard good things about Galapagos (sp). At least the part at the end where the half-human/half-seal things fart and laugh, like that's the last, deepest human instinct to hang on "farts are funny". I like that.

Yea for some reason it really cracked me up. Marquez' humor really connects with me. [/ QUOTE ] Hmmm maybe it's funnier in the English translation. I read it in Russian. Either way it's one of my favorite books. Also, I'm friends with his goddaughter. I am sure you will be extremely excited to know this. |

"Parliament of Whores" by P.J. O'Rourke
Contains the best non-fiction chapter title of all time: "What The F*** Do They Do All Day And Why Does It Cost So D***ed Much Money?" Best fiction chapter title goes to Tom Clancy's "Red Storm Rising" - "The Frisbees Of Dreamland" |

The funniest book I've ever read is "Youth in Revolt." [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I'll second that. And I'll add Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk to the discussion. |
