The PLO freezeout is still a bracelet event, the rebuy is an added (yes added) bracelet event.

And who exactly were those people who thought it would be a rebuy? The one or handful of pros who lobbied/bribed the organizers to make it one, at 5 PM the night before the tournament, after it had been scheduled as a freezeout for 6 months?

It was only changed yesterday? I thought it was mislabeled as rebuy for a while. Either way, some people must have thought it was a rebuy tourney when they signed up.

I forgot there are 3 Omaha tourneys today. This is going to be brutal.

ALERT! This just in - Harrahs has just added a $50 buyin No Limit Pinochle tourney that will begin at 7:48 p.m. tonight. The juice for this $50 event will be $500. A bracelet will awarded, and there will be no rebuys.........correction, there will be rebuys...............hold it, there won't be rebuys.............yes, there will.........no, there won't............

Well, I got in half an hour late. Both events are bracelet, there's about 500 in the freezout including a few name pros who are apparently going to try to play both somehow. Williamson, Men, I played with James Van Alstyne for a while. Still hanging around w/ 2K chips, blinds going to 50/100 after the break. People are going to be busting rapid fire.

This is seriously the most absurd thing I've heart yet.

Why not add a PLO 1500$ w/rebuys like, hmm, two days from now?! Are they utterly retarded? Why would you want to split yet another field? (excluding big pros who can spew money, cause no one can play two events at the same time successfully)

If they can add another event just like that, add it on a different day. WTF?!

I'm out. 50/100 level, bad big stack who had been raising a lot raises to 350 UTG, I (T2600) reraise to 1200 w/ A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

Folds and he pretty much instapushes with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

67/33 for a 5500 chip pot, can't ask for much more.

Flop K74 one heart, turn T hearts, river 5 diamonds.

It hurts a little more than it should b/c I'm not rolled for this, but I had already written it off as an entertainment and learning expense. After seeing some of the play I'm positive I was +EV.

Good luck to anyone still in it. I hope I'll be playing the rebuy next year, or at least a 3K freezeout, which makes a hell of a lot more sense than 1500.

Okay, this is way worse than the shoot-out thing that was going on yesterday. At least Harrah's announced their terms for that one before hand (even if they were goofy).

I'd don't trust them to hold one tournament any more, much less FIVE AT ONCE.
