This is exactly why I said you should raise preflop. Bax's image is aggressive enough that you can't help pay off at least two streets worth of bets even though he's leading OOP into a big field.

I dunno... I still stand behind the idea of a raise on the flop. Raise it to 360 and if he reraises or calls, then you know to shut it down sooner and cheaper. If your (in this case correct) read is that he hit a big hand, I don't understand calling on two streets with TPTK.

I don't play at this level of SNG's, but I have a question. Why are several people recommending a limp with AQs here preflop?

Im not sure if this is correct but I have been limping AQ in the early stages of SNGs lately (mostly just from EP, occasionally from MP if there is already a limper). In the 22s i raise it but in the 33s and higher I limp. The reason being is because you get played back at way more often on the flop in the 33s+. At the 22s you can raise and then make a continuation bet when low cards come and your opponent folds most the time. At the 33s+ it seems every time I continue on the flop I get raised. So, i just limp instead of raise and only continue if i hit my hand (of course I mix it up and raise sometime in EP but most the time I limp).

Because they don't like to play poker, they just want to keep their chips for the later stages.

I lke to raise with AQ and will probably take the lead either on the flop or the turn, if I still meet resistance from a skilled player i can release my hand. Much better to put a decision on him that to let him put you all in and not knowing wic decision is correct then for a lot of EV.

Yes.

That's it.

I limp AQ sometimes because I don't like to play poker.

Actually, I mix up raising and limping it, along with several other hands. I believe it is good to mix up play as much as possible.

I was just about to post that this river is a fold because two pair is such a likely holding for him from the BB. Now my post seems results oriented, but trust me I was thinking this.
