Uhhhh...

He meant preflop. Obviously there are post-flop situations where folding AA is correct.

Here's a situation where it is correct to fold AA before the flop:

You've just sat down in a $2-$5 blind NLHE game ($200 min buyin, $500 max), having bought for the full amount, and posted for a hand in the cutoff seat. UTG makes it $20 straight, and the action is folded to you.

At the very moment that you squeeze your cards to see A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] you hear a voice behind you. It's your wife, who brought her $60K/year trust fund to your marriage. She says, "I've had it with your gambling ways! If you don't get up from that table right now and cash your chips in, I'm filing for divorce!" There is $32 in the pot, including your live $5 blind bet.

Hello, Alan. How have you been?

[/ QUOTE ]

I've been through a lot of interesting changes, but I'm still playing poker recreationally.

I'm kicking butt playing live mid-limit games and being a total donk (barely breakeven after bonus whoring and rakeback) in low limit games (up to $5-$10) online.

if youre a smart player, meaning you didnt have a large portion of your br up in this game i think preflop you should call with aces no matter what since you will at worst be having the best possible hand out of nine people going all in preflop. everyone allin is usually the scenario where people say its right to fold aces, but in a cash game , i think it is right to call b/c you have a better chance than 1/9 to win the pot.
