[ QUOTE ]
A bunch of scenes in Animal House... one scene was during the Toga party at the frat house. John Belushi (Bluto) is walking down the stairs and someone is playing some slow romantic song on his guitar for some girls all sitting on the stairs. Bluto stops walking, has strange puzzled look on his face then all of sudden grabs the guitar and smashes it into the wall. This scene, like many others in this movie, was priceless. [/ QUOTE ] Equally as funny as smashing the guitar, was his quiet "sorry" afterwards. |

I love the scene in Parenthood when at a family dinner the lights go out, so Steve Martins character goes for a flahlight.
You hear some some say, "Well, turn it on" and then hear this loud BUZZZZZZZZZZZ-lights come on and he is holding a vibrator. |

This is tough because a scene is more than a single line which to me are the true gems in comedies. The truely funny scenes that go on for more than that line are rare.
For me the funniest laugh out loud scene was the "jive talk" scene in Airplane. When I saw this the for first time in the theater I thought I would die from laughing so much! Honorable mentions go to: Sniper scene - The Jerk Marshall Lucky/High prices commercial - Used Cars Road trip bar scene - Animal House Bob Barker fight scene - Happy Gilmore Every scene with the Hanson Brothers - Slap Shot |

90% of Nicholson's scenes in Batman; specifically the 2 scenes where he interrupts the news broadcast, and then the mayor's statement from City Hall.
There's also a scene from the Marx Brothers movie Day at the Races where Chico fleeces Groucho out of money, by pushing a bogus tip sheet under the guise of an ice cream vendor. I highly recommend it. |

The Royal Tenenbaums - pick a scene. I'll go with Royal's reaction to his daughter's birthday play. Or Eli Cash's immediate response to the intervention. Like I said, pick a scene. I realize some people hate this movie and find it completely unfunny, and that's cool. I feel the same way about Napolean Dynamite. (braces for impact)
Full Metal Jacket - The obstacle course scene when the drill instructor is laying into everyone. The Lost Boys - Grandpa's last line. |

The "rooftop/firehose" scene from My Favorite Year, with Peter O'Toole as an aging, drunken former action hero (think Errol Flynn).
"This is REAL LIFE, not a movie!" <pause> "What on earth is the difference?" |

'The Incredibles' where Dash's teacher is playing the video of Dash putting a tack on the teacher's chair.
"Coincidence? I think NOT!" This isn't so funny, but my baby daughter howled at it every time, and at me whenever I'd do it to her. Now she's going on 3, and she still chuckles at it, but it's not the same.... but then we look at each other and it's like, "Remember how we used to do that?" Geez, I can't believe she's not even 3 yet, and getting too sophisticated for stuff already. |
