Better yet, call the flop and call the turn, and then raise the river (!!!!) so you can trap him g00t. This is very clearly the best play because I see it used by people all the time.

I'd like to rip on the slowplayers like everyone else, but

1) I hate talking strategy in BBV
2) You guys that prefer just calling the flop didn't have access to my reads/stats. Opponent was 36/17/2, very much a LAG, and my notes said "likes to play back at my aggression."

[/ QUOTE ]

Odds on PJ making this note after the hand?

This is the third account you've used to post stupid questions in this forum, right?

Watch out for the California Three Strikes law.

Seemed like hero played it fine.. slowplaying isn't a great option because UTG+2 has taken the betting lead, and if hero ever raises him, all subsequent betters will have to call 2 bets cold at some point anyway.

You're better off making the pot big on the flop and keeping all flush draws/weird hands in at an expensive price on the flop, thus keeping them 'priced in' on the turn. Theres very few situations where I like to slowplay in limit poker, and this isn't one of them.

Wow. Great read, lots of hate in the air.

I play NL, calling the flop is re-tar-ted. Its effectively <1bb(1 or 2 calls behind) vs 1+bb (original bettor is not going anywhere and might even 3-bet + other people can also call your raise)
