Re: Poker in Florida
I'm flying into Tampa/St. Pete this morning. Derby Lane is pretty close to where I'm staying so I will def. play there. What's the rake? If I'm staying in St. Pete where else should I go play if not DL?

Re: Poker in Florida
DERBY LANE bad beat jackpot at 60,000..........and they give a 550 entry for the high hand in holdem from 12-6 and 6-12.
Until both of these are eliminated, this is the place to play currently..............but TAMPA GREYHOUND is by far the better cardroom overall in my opinion..........better promos, better staff, and they dont rake NON preflop pots. |

Re: Poker in Florida

[ QUOTE ] Sarasota Kennel Club is the nicest of the FL cardrooms by far. And the newest too. My wife and I used to go there for date night. We just moved to LA (way better poker, obviously), but in retrospect we were treated well at SKC. The low limits and above average weren't good for the game generally, but they fill the place nightly. [/ QUOTE ] TIMED RAKE.........don't support such nonsense. [/ QUOTE ] and the dealers are [censored] faces |

Re: Poker in Florida
Bump.
Are the card rooms in Florida 24-hour operations? I'm mainly inquiring about the Hollywood Hard Rock, but also wondering if the laws in FL allow this. Thanks. |

Re: Poker in Florida
The Hard Rock properties are 24 hours. The parimutuals are all restricted to being open only 12 hours per day (most are noon to midnight).

Re: Poker in Florida
If the Class III compact with the Seminoles goes through, they would also be restricted to 12 hours.
