I think you mean 90 where they finished like 10-6 (after starting 9-1). In 91 they were 5-11, bombing ATS like most teams that go to the SB the year before in extra spectacular fashion.

The one big exception I've seen to this theory is the 89 49ers who went 13-3 in their repeat season.

I meant 90 sorry, they went 13-3 and 16-0 ATS. I know two 40 somethings originally from NY that still reminisce about groups of friends laying the paycheck they got on Fri on them and doubling it every week.
