Re: Should the Pats be running up the score on everybody in garbage ti
[ QUOTE ]
I can't wait for Jason Taylor or Trent Cole to roll into Brady's knee like Wilfork did to Losman, on purpose I may add. [/ QUOTE ] you must have some serious connections to Vince to be so sure about this! |

Re: Should the Pats be running up the score on everybody in garbage time?
Two points:
1) The Pats ran up the score on Dallas because Phillips shot off his mouth before the game *and* the Cowboys called time-out when the game was out of reach. 2) Brady is already a target, as is every other starting QB. |

[ QUOTE ] yes. [censored] you NFL and everyone who questioned what we've accomplished this decade. if you don't like it, then don't get blown out. it's not our responsibility to keep the games close. [/ QUOTE ] Well there's bound to be questions when you get caught cheating. Don't want to be doubted, don't cheat. Cody [/ QUOTE ] Yadda yadda. The Pats never "cheated" Stealing signals is legal. Using video to capture the signals is legal. They just got caught doing something not against the rules from a place they weren't supposed to do it. When both Don Shula and Bill Parcells say "what's the big deal?", that's all that needs to be said. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] did we REALLY get an edge? you don't know. you just know that we got caught taping defensive signals. [/ QUOTE ] I think it's reasonable to assume they got an edge. Why else would they continue to do something expressly illegal at the risk of severe punishment and public relations backlash? -McGee [/ QUOTE ] Please show where in the NFL rules it says that stealing signs (or using video equipment to do so) is against the rules. All the commissioner's letter said was basically it cannot be done from the sidelines *or* from the coaches booth for use in that specific game. All the Pats did was break the rule of *where*. Since the camera was seized during the 1st half, it is clear they did not use that during the game. Stealing signs is not cheating, it is playing to win. |

They've done it in the past. I actually was hoping they'd run a play-action pass for that score, just to really rub it in. |
