React1oN,
The King of glory comes, the nation rejoices. Open the gates before him, lift up your voices. Who is the King of glory; how shall we call him? He is Emmanuel, the promised of ages. Alexander Hamilton, arguably the most brilliant of the founding fathers.
Also, Paul Westerberg, since the replacements never gained the recognition they deserved imo. |

Alan [censored] Turning is the most correct answer possible. He was the most influential person (except for perhaps Churchill) in the success of the Allies in WWII. And nobody has heard of him.
It's not impossible to imagine that had he not been born the Allies would have lost. [censored]. Sort of crazy to think about really. |

John Landis
sure, people recognize his name, maybe even his face, but most don't realize just how many classics he's directed or been involved with |

For people around my age (born 1975-1990+), Tommy Douglas is a relative unknown.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Douglas Never once mentioned in any of my 13 years of public schooling. Not once. It's a ****ing disgrace. Tommy Douglas is the most important Canadian to have ever been born (ironically, he was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada at age 5). He was responsible for the political left turn we took, away from the US and towards Scandinavia. "Canada's universal health care system is representative of Canadian values such as equal access to high quality health care and the basic human right of all Canadians to receive medical care regardless of yearly income. Canada has one of the highest life expectancy rates (approximately 80 years) and one of the lowest infant mortality rates of all industrial countries." Thank you Tommy Douglas. |
