I hope to make it up to Winstar on May 18th.

How does the 2/5 game play versus the 1/2. I have always played 1/2 NL and never tried out the 2/5NL. What is ideal buy in on that game and is it easier to beat than 1/2?

[/ QUOTE ]

I am going to be up there on Sunday. The typical preflop raise I see at 1/2 is 12-15 dollars. What can I expect the preflop raise at 2/5 to be? 20-25?

ideal buy-in is 500(max). the 1/2 plays extremely bad, and the 2/5 is just pretty bad. however, i don't suggest playing it w/out a couple of buy-ins. and, definitely don't play if you aren't comfortable playing bigger than a typical 1/2 game.

Sorry.. I misquoted above, and it won't let me edit or delete it. Re-posting for some clarity.

i would say about 90% of raises are between 15-40. about 60% of the raises are b/t 25-30. but, i haven't played there near as much of some of the other guys who may be able to answer the question better.

I generally see 15-25 is an open. If there are a bunch of limpers you might see 30 or 35, but most players don't adjust. I've seen raises to 15 with 4 limpers often.

The 2/5 definitely plays more difficult than 1/2, but it couldn't possibly play any softer, lol. I would say if you can beat 25nl full ring online, you can beat 2/5 there.

I am thinking about heading down there Saturday night, maybe play all night, play the tournament Sunday and come home.

I've been taking a few days off due to my allergies. I'll be there tonight if my home game isn't running (AGAIN) and probably again on Sunday, I have a friend coming in from out of town on Saturday.

Does anyone know if Winstar is planning to add more daily tourney's since they have the room now? I asked one dealer and he said they were going to but I was wondering if anyone had more details. Weekend tournies? Etc...

Dealers are so not the ones to ask when it comes to factual things. There are the big end of the month Sunday tournies.

What I would really like is for them to do a tourney series with non-NLHE games. LHE and LO8 or even a HORSE. Like in Tulsa.
