I've been to several, and they are always a lot of fun.

It's a good time to spend making new friends and just being a big kid.

Never been to one of these, but did go to Medieval Times by Giants Stadium and it was awesome.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have gone to that also, however it does not even compare to a Ren Faire festival..not even close.

[/ QUOTE ]

More shops? How does it really differ? Maybe a Ren faire appeals to women more than a medieval faire does?

Nope. Never played it.

So it's just a big catapult? Looks kinda cool.

Ah.

Yknow, I'm not sure I saw much of this there. I'll have to look closer next time. I mean, they had some face painting, but that was about all I really saw. Nothing really intricate.

Here's an interesting little tidbit for you. There are quite a few folks at these faires that are into BDSM too. So, if that's your bag you can easily meet some like-minded people. Not to mention some very kinky women too.

catapult uses a sudden release of tension for power while a trebuchet uses a counterweight

Do they still have the jousting/MT/dinner at Excalibur? 4 of us went completely [censored] faced one time, it was hilarious.

Evidently they had Pepsi 800 years ago...who knew?
