[ QUOTE ] SC---lost to Stanford---goodbye [/ QUOTE ] A one loss USC team with road wins over California, Oregon, and Arizona State will have the best resume of any one loss team. I don't know if they can make it through with one loss, but if they do, there will need to be two unbeatens to keep USC out. [/ QUOTE ] basically, any team that has a loss this early in the season to Stanford at home is not a team that will survive those other games |

I'll tell you who should be playing in the NC game at the end of the year: South Carolina and Notre Dame.
Hear me out. We are not supposed to vote for the team with the best record, but the best TEAMS. By the end of the year Notre Dame will clearly be one of the top two teams in the country. You just have to give Charlie Weis time to develop this team. Plus, you give them a month or so between the end of the season and a bowl game... they will be a powerhouse. You saw what they did against Pac10 elite UCLA! Expect them to go undefeated the rest of the year. Yes, they are that good. South Carolina only has one loss, and that was a fluke upset to LSU in Tiger Stadium! They will run the table in the SEC, destroy Arkansas in the SEC championship game. |

If Cal wins out they're a lock over Slowhio St. imo [/ QUOTE ] Care to give me 2-1 odds if they are a lock? Actually, I'd be happy to take even money on this bet, it will be better than anything I can get in Vegas. |

Ohio State isn't slow. They lost, badly, to FL last year, but it wasn't because they were slower(Ginn/Gonzalez/Smith/Pittman is a ridiculously fast WR/WR/QB/RB combo). Everything capone0 has said in this thread is retarded(and not just because he doesn't know the contraction of "they are"), it was just one game.
Superb Lou Holtz gimmick. |

[/ QUOTE ] Who did they prove they were fast against last year? I love Michigan but if your going to use them as an argument your kidding yourself. They beat nobody outside the big 10 last year. Texas was decent at best. Please prove to me some how that tOSU was some how that great last year. Wow they ran the table in the ultra competitive Big 10.... Maybe the Florida game was a fluke but I really lack confidence in anything the big 10 puts up right now in Football. |

Did any of you watch the Purdue/OSU game last weekend?
The OSU offense may not be stellar, but their defense is. As someone else said, OSU is the most likely team to go undefeated given current schedules. Cal will most likely lose to USC and may even lose to ASU. LSU will probably have to face Florida in the SEC championship game. If all 3 go undefeated, OSU probably gets left out unless Cal struggles in their wins. |

Arizona State is good b/c?
They've beaten? SJSU Colorado SDSU Oregon St @Stanford @WSU I'm betting ASU loses atleast 2 more games this year. they haven't played anyone yet. Cal could lose to USC, but USC is good with a healthy Booty. |
