didnt read thread

i got selected in december. i called the number (like 3 days too late to be technically allowed to defer, they give you 24h on reception of notice or something) and talked to some dude. i was like "im concerned that if i serve and get selected for a long case that I'll not be able to leave for school next month"

he was like "the max it would take is two weeks and most cases take a day and you get paid 40 bucks per day, doesnt a broke student need 40 bucks"

me: "........."

him: "but we can defer it until you graduate" bingo. no jury selection until may 2008.
