I think it's great that the blind are allowed to play poker.

What if, in addition to being blind, you're also fat? And you slow the game down waaayy too much? And you have old grumpy nits that defend you on the internet?

So, for whoever read my 'high on Vicodin thread' today I sat in a 4-handed 20 game and won $1,000 in an hour. I got moved to a full game and then the Vicodin kicked in and I lost the $1,000 and $800 more. It finally wore off and I ended up plus $200. No more Vicodin and poker for me. I'd rather have the pain.

Default Two Liars

I 3-bet preflop with red queens. As my bet goes in, player on my left mucks sloppily and I get a glimpse of a black queen. He leaves the table for a smoke. Six of us see the flop which consists of the ace of spades, the four of spades and some other non-queen. There's a bet and a call and I fold.

On the turn there's all sorts of action and by the river three players are left. Check, check, bet, "Time." About fifteen seconds worth. Fold. "Time." About fifteen seconds worth. Call. Bettor shows A-K and caller disgustedly folds.

"I want to see that that hand," shouts the river folder. River caller shoves his cards into the muck and says, "I had queens."

"That's what I had," says the folder. "No wonder why we didn't hit."

Next hand the flop is Q-T-T. Both players disgustedly shake their heads and one says to the other, "Where was that flop when we needed it?"

Andy, given your propensity for misreading your hand, the board, and other such aging quirks, it's possible you actually held JJ in this hand, the PF smoker mucked a K, and the two players were telling the truth.

I use information I have to make up lies so they are believable, always having a stronger hand then I did. So if I have QT, and muck at some point on an A high flop after raising preflop, I had Tens. I told quite the lie the other day when a guy straddles, and I threebet AT. The straddlers donks a KQQ flop, checks a K turn, and bets like a 3 river, and I call with AT, get shown a Q, and muck and claim I had Tens. I was like, that didn't make much sense, especially since i was hoped to be shown JT...
