Re: Need computer help, $20 on Stars
If it does not find a trojan, what version of Internet Explorer are you using? If you are using IE 7 you want to uninstall that, and it should revert back to IE version 6.
After you do that: 1. An addon may be interfering with IE. Disable Addons. Go to Tools > Add-on Manager, and uncheck the addons. 2. Reset IE settings. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Click on "Reset" button. Click OK. Close all browsers. Reboot the computer |

Re: Need computer help, $20 on Stars
hosuecall froze up on me, i'm tired of this ish. I'll try it tomorrow, and if it leads to something that helps me finish this problem up I'll ship 20 to Diamond Lie, otherwise I'm just going to reformat.
thanks for all the suggestions. |

Re: Need computer help, $20 on Stars
Housecall keeps freezing for me as well. Its changed since the last time I tried using it...
Best bet now is to dl their 30 day trial program here: www.trendmicro.com/download/trial/trial-pcc.asp its much better than waiting 2 hours for that scan to complete |

Re: Need computer help, $20 on Stars
HiJackthis.exe isn't enough...
you also need to run CWShredder.exe that should do the trick... download here: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/p...php#cwshredder |

Re: Need computer help, $20 on Stars
there's other antivirus sites that do a web based scan. symantec/norton has one too. damn either everyone wants that 20 bucks, or everyone feels the pain of suffering from constant pop up attacks.
