Re: Steve Badger\'s advice
[ QUOTE ]
Omaha is not like real estate, position, position, position. [/ QUOTE ] Position in PLO is much more important than in another poker game not discussed in the Other Poker Games forum, regardless of your stats. |

Re: Steve Badger\'s advice
I take Badger's advice to the limit at 6 max. I don't play in the blinds or in early position. Just the button. Try it for amazing results.

Re: Steve Badger\'s advice
I was compiling a long post on how Badger's advice really is bad... but I am gonna settle with quoting Wazz.
[ QUOTE ] It's true in the sense of 'if you can't win out of position don't play out of position.' Sort of like game selection on a hand-by-hand basis. [/ QUOTE ] One thing to add though, if you don't learn to play out of position, you're missing out on a lot of money and a lot of chances to improve your own game. One dimensional players are boring to watch in any sport, opker is no exception. One last thing, depending on texture of the game, there are times where having early position is an advantage. |

In fact, I'm starting to realise much more the message of: what you do on the flop largely depends on what you did pre-flop - If you're good at post-flop play you can play quite a number of hands early position pre-flop, unlike Badger's advice |

You really need to work on your reading comprehension. [/ QUOTE ] Perhaps I do need to work on my reading comprehension. However, I currently do not understand: [ QUOTE ] The fact that it doesn't lose more is what proves him wrong. [/ QUOTE ] |
