I only mention the chocolate covered pretzels because Lottery Larry was over my home game recently and he brought some CCP's made by his wife and they were very good.

[/ QUOTE ]

.... and they didn't cause any of the problems pfap tried to whine about, either :P

[ QUOTE ]
Now CCM's sound disgusting...

[/ QUOTE ] Don't think food, think 'shrooms.

STILL disgusting IMO, but pfap's game is a little "different" (if you know what I mean...)

shrooms are nasty tasty no matter what you cover them in- me personally I would pressure cook them into a tea and drink it

Ah, well, now I understand why Larry's so violently pro pretzel.

My game is "different" in that it rocks out with its glocks out and ain't no better action for miles in any direction. You couldn't handle it, so don't even try.

As to shrooms... well, the smelly wookiee hippies sell 'em that way. When I've had caps, I ground them up with a coffee grinder (note for future: don't use it for coffee after that, trust me) and supersaturated it in orange juice for the night.

But I'm older and less immortal these days, so on the extremely rare occasion I dabble, I just grab a chocolate.

Works well with nutter butters followed by a swig of OJ to get em out your teeth.

We have a rule that you must wear at least a collared shirt and trousers, and you're not allowed to wear flip-flops or sneakers. A suit is better and is what most people wear (a lot of them go straight to the game from work)

The table is a casino-style oval table with padded leather and spaces for drinks. Two decks of plastic cards, self-dealt (when game is bigger, someone will volunteer to be a dealer for $10/hour or so). No beer served, either soft drinks, soda water, or spirits. Some people have whisky or brandy but it's just an occasional sip, nothing like getting drunk or such.

There's a few LCD TVs on the wall, all mute, set to Bloomberg TV, some soccer channels - a few people like sports betting. The room itself is luxuriously appointed but sparse and understated.

A rather different environment from the typical home game, but it's fun.
