lol yes mostly. It's not immediately apparent when you look at me though, which is partially why I want it. I'm proud of being part asian, and even though I'm culturally very north american, my asian roots are a big part of me.

chinese people do not refer to themselves as 'asian', they refer to themselves as CHINESE.

Almost all my friends in high school and the first couple of years of college were Asian, and I never once heard any of them call themselves Asian. The idea would be WTF weird to them. The first time I ever heard an Asian called Asian was by a white guy who probably didn't know any, warning me to be more respectful.

OP: do NOT get a sXe tattoo. i think it's great if you choose not to smoke or do drugs, great for your health. but for chrissakes don't get a sXe tattoo, especially not one that sounds as cheesy as that.

i'm also deeply skeptical of words in tattoos in english or chinese.

family-inspired tattoos are ok by me. i have been considering getting my family crest on my triceps or back. if you're thinking of getting the fishing one, do it, just don't get the words. you know what it means without them, and it will look better.

If I had ever gotten a tattoo it would've been goddamn fraternity letters on my ankle and I would be so [censored] pissed at myself every day right about now. So, gg me, nice job not getting drunk enough (or in at least one case getting TOO drunk) to make that mistake.
