[/ QUOTE ]

i don't see this taking off, but i think it's a pretty solid thing for marbury to do, whether or not it makes business sense for him.

I can only imagine how much the Vietnamese sweat shop workers are making for these.

heh, the only question I have is do they make them in size 17 or 18?

[/ QUOTE ]

and i felt self-conscious about my size 15 feet ...
how tall are you?

[/ QUOTE ]

I often see great deals on footlocker, footaction, etc. for really cheap shoes at sizes 15+. I'm talking about 40-50 dollars for Jordan 14's or something.

I still think it's insane that he is going to wear them while he is playing.

Why... Its just a shoe... You know despite what commercials may say, a $150 pair doesnt make you jump any higher

was a story about this on 'real sports with bryant gumble'

caught it this past week.

a shoe expert dissected marbury's shoe and a jordan shoe. his conclusion: exactly the same except that the jordan's had a 'fake' air vent.

was a cool story with some less fortunate mom's in tears thanking marbury at a signing for alleviating some of the pressures they feel.

also a scene of marbury tearing up and emotional about the impact to some families and kids who are saving a lot of money by buying his gear

edit:
wanted to add; i'm not really a basketball fan...and knew almost nothing about the guy...but he really came off looking great in this story

For some reason I can't find the catalogue on the site, but it looks like the Starbury 2 is coming out this weekend. There is a huge clothing line too with just about everything being $15 or less.

Go to www.starbury.com. It shows the new shoe in several different color schemes. I don't have any true basketball shoes (I buy cross trainers for sneakers), so I may just grab a pair of these soon when my friends and I start playing a little more b-ball. The black ones aren't all that bad looking.
